How will the City notify the public about redistricting?

The City of Palm Desert has developed a robust Public Education and Outreach Plan outlining efforts to engage the community throughout the redistricting process. The City plans to reach out to community members via local media, social media, legal notices, radio advertising, a citywide mailer, outreach to community groups, and this dedicated redistricting website.

Public hearings and workshops will be provided in applicable languages if residents submit a request in advance to cityclerk@palmdesert.gov.

The City will notify the public about redistricting hearings, community workshops, and map drawing workshops, will post maps online before adoption, and will maintain this dedicated website for all relevant information about the redistricting process.
